Boy, that engine sound gets really annoying. In any case, what really kills me about this game is the sudden change in color. One second, you're on a nice and green background. The next, BOOM, flash of white! And then the next, blackout! And then after that, the fog kicks in.

I remember seeing this game in magazines but we never got it. Do you just sit there and endure playing, is that the point? You eventually give up and that's your score?

Loved the game as a kid. Sound wasn't bad, you whippersnappers! :)

These Atari games need to be on the VC for 200 points each!

Ahh the memories of the Atari 2600. I loved sitting around when I was a kid playing the Atari 2600. Sure the graphics and the sound effects were "odd" looking compared to the NES, XBOX360, PS3, etc., but what can we expect? The Atari 2600 was one of the first video game consoles to ever come out so we really can't expect much. My point is that it was the gameplay and the fun that made the Atari 2600 so successful, not the graphics. BTW, thanks for posting. :)

I love this game!!. I remember playing this with my cousin when she would sleep over. That engine sound reminds me of being a kid and the innocent time it was. I feel comforted :)

Now, hold on, I have great respect for the classics. Enduro's just not my favorite, and it has had better conversions.

God, I can't stand you NES/SNES whippersnappers who have no appreciation for the classics.

Do you understand what this is about? This is a CLASSIC game. You have to look it through 80's eyes. The changing colours are the night/snow/morning. That is a way of making some variation in the game (or making it harder on the run) it's old and was very popular years ago. And imo most older games/consoles has much more "soul" compared to all those XBOX/PS/PC/NES systems
