Not all Indians are native Hindi speakers!Each state in India has a number of linguistic communities. In order to communicate with each other, English is the most preferred language.

yh u have right, iam not from pakistan bt i have to say that pakistani girls are more beautiful than indian girls.. these stars are one in a million, i have never met a beautiful indian girl bt i have met many beatiful pakistani girlss..

OK, let me explain a few facts to you about India, abrarahmed786. India has 16 OFFICIAL LANGUAGES and Hindi is just one of them. Granted Hindi is spoken by about 300 to 350 million people in India, but that constitutes only 30 -35 % of the Indian population. Urdu may be the official language of Pakistan (which is a part of greater India) but Hindi is NOT the official language of India. English is the unifying language in India which is a legacy of the colonial Brits. We are grateful for that!

Well i am not an indian and not pakistani,but how i can see the thing is that that India was colony of Britain and India is know in whole world by their movie and they make it simple for us who don't understand their language and by speaking with their people in english it's easier for us to understand it!

this is also why Tamilians rioted when the govt. enforced Hindi to become the national language as it is considered a "chota" language whereas Tamil is thousands of years old. Also, Tamil & Sanskrit are VERY DIFFICULT and in Ancient India (which included present day Pakistan), only the elite spoke Sanskrit.

well.. the real reason is that the British left the impression on India & Indians that being "educated" means knowing English! This had a subliminal but powerful effect on the Indian populace. Tamil & Sanskrit are India's two classical languages and most of the people in India don't speak either! LOL... |
