I saw Rory with this lineup in DC in a club below Dupont Circle on Connecticut Ave -- loud as all shit, but totally kickass - he played long and hard, a nice show -- too bad the stage was about 7 feet high, no getting too close - but total Irish Power Trio Blues-rock time, a once in a lifetime event (don't think he ever did DC again, or if so I missed it) - the man just hits the spot, exactly what you want in a guitar hero

All the Death Metal fans havent got a clue what they're on about. If the worlds finest guitarists, like Gallagher, Clapton, Page and Hendrix desired to sweep pick and play 500 notes a second, they could. They just know that it sounds like shit and would much rather let soul, feeling and expressionism ring through their guitars.
Not to mention, all those saying that Rorys solos are easy, why dont you try playing them with the same perfect feeling, not to mention alot of it is improvised.RIP RG
