Ok if Optimus prime can beat Megatron in this then why did he get the crap beaten out of him in the 2007 film? It couldve been an even fight.

Yeah, really Megatron didn't get hit enough to cause him to be near death. They should have shown Prime F-ing him up some more.

I showed this entire movie to my nephews age 5 & 6, AFTER they had already seen the Michael Bay crap, and they sat still & quiet for the whole animated movie. These kids never sit still for anything, but they did for this. They loved it! Are you listening, Hasbro?

Great scene.
We can only hope for a comparable showdown between Optimus Prime and Megatron in the Bay trilogy. :)
