bad tuning?? You have to be kidding. Yes the video clip is crap but that's not what the feature is, the feature is the music. Those instruments aren't tuned badly at all. It's maybe a smidge fast, but the tuning definitely isn't the problem.

They did, but they only had four or five courses, I think. It's more often played on guitar nowadays because more people play guitar and because the guitar is less apt to get drowned out than the lute. It's lovely on either instrument.

i agree, this is supposed to convey a feeling of tenderness and expression, and i think at this speed you lose that to some degree. Its still beautiful though.

Lute. They didn't really have guitars in Vivaldi's time in the 16 and 1700's, I don't believe.

Not too fast at all! This was perfect. When I type 'Vivaldi d major' into youtube, this is the serendipity I hope for, but am frequently disappointed in.
