NITRO is a shorthand way of referring to Nitro-methane fuel, like the funny cars and top fuel dragsters use. Its liquid and gets poured into the fuel tank like gasoline.
Nitrous Oxide is the stuff in a bottle.
Bring your Nitrous Oxide bottle to the shop, and ask to have it filled with nitro, and they will laugh at you.
