One of the most important records ever in my opinion. The early 80s brought about the first wave of computerised and modern music but by about 1987 the bands at the time were starting to run out of ideas and music had really gone to shit by this time. This song opened up a whole new world of possibilities and remixes and mashups and was way ahead of its time, despite the dodgy scratching. Its success at reaching number one inspired many many acts to follow suit.
