Thanks so much for posting these timeless moments from the unplugged concert. One of my favorite CD's, but I never picked up the video. It doesn't get any better than this!

Will Hines on the piano,
Ladies and Gentlemen.
He's more than a producer.
He's a really nice guy.

Three dollars for the name of the acoustic
keyboard player.
The Legendary Danny O'Doul remembers being at Woody's in South Beach Miami in the very late 1980's and seeing him lead an allstar band through soul and stones hits.

Yeah, I agree. I love it when people note and pay homage to the greats that inspired them. Rod has done that a lot, Sam Cooke is probably his number one influence.
If you are interested type in and search on youtube : "rod stewart sitting on the dock of the bay" it was uploaded by RodMick77, Rod talks about Otis and Sam and sings Sitting on the dock of the bay and twisting the night away...Rod wrote this song in 95 "Muddy Sam Otis" search that, it was also uploaded by Rodmick77.

I remember that actually...That's cool! I know The Lox sampled Rod's "Do ya think Im sexy" for the hook in their "If you think I'm jiggy" song...And some other rapper from london recently looped an old rod song...James Brown said Rod was the greatest white soul singer...Rod loves Soul...Perhaps this is why Scarface digs him, who knows.
