The Moog Etherwave Pro, seen here, is discontinued, but shows up on e-bay from time to time for a couple to several grand. Originally, it cost 1300 new.
The Etherwave Standard is 350 to 400.
Burns B3 is 152 , B3 deluxe is 200, B3 Pro is 300.
The Wavefront Travelcase is 800, and Wavefront Classic is 1800.
The PAia theramax kit is 230 with cabinet and electronics kit.
Prices are for theremins with pitch and volume antennas. Pitch only theremins are cheaper, but lack volume antenna.

Cool video, now I really want a Theremin.
So 13 out of 10.

You think that's bad? ...I've been alive for over 40 plus years, and only knew of theremins as of 2 years ago. ;)

I just don't understand how I've been alive for 24 years, have been a serious music fanatic for at least 16 years and have not even heard of the Theremin. Not one mention! Though I've likely been hearing it for years in various media.

Do I detect Star Trek at 3:00 or am I just crazy?

Check out thereminworld on the web in the theremin construction forum. See also Harisoninstruments, and PAiA on the web for schematics, and kits.
All the best with your construct.
