I saw him on his 1st and second tours back in the late 80's. Unreal.
The fact is.. there are 1000 guys like satch sitting on their asses on the curbs in LA trying to get their shot. We need more good bass players and good drummers so these guys can effectively realize their goals.
Not everyone will get that chance.. but people like satch and patrucci will continue to inspire millions long after they have passed (much like Hendrix and Buddy Guy have).
