Unit 01=Yui Ikari
Unit 00=Naoko Akagi
Unit 02=Kyoko Zeppelin Soryu
their spirits are one with the EVAs
Yui protects Shinji
Naoko tries to kill Gendou and Rei (Unit 00 goes berserk and punches the glass where they are standing...she strangled Rei and hated Gendou for abandoning her)
Kyoko thinks that the doll she always held was her real daughter and even hung the doll when she hung herself...thus never protects Asuka when she needs it

No, that's the point, her sync rate was so high that she managed to reactivate and move it on will alone, and everything that happened to it happened to her.

Only because of the fragile nature of a colony. An EVA has an AT field, purpose built armor plating, and high agility.

well, did u c episode 2? berserker mode. Gainax has no big explanation about it, but it just happens when the eva unit and the children are in deep shit, i guess :P well, the thing is that the sync rate goes up all the way (shinji got 400 i guess, cant remember very well) so they can continue fighting without the umbilical cable, since the eva is an angel as well, i guess tat it has it's own energy

but how come she still felt the blows AFTER the power went off? shouldnt the nerve thing that lets her sync turned off as well???????

para mi la mejor pelea en evangelion y tambien la mejor personaje definitivamente me encanta asuka es tan genial y de k manera pelea hasta el final
