raise you hand if anyone else thinks that the opening of this song sounds like the opening to the Zephyr song by the Red hot chili peppers. This is not a criticism, btw...just an observation. Both are great.

War is used as the road to peace and quiet, but it's an illusion. In war we kill for peace and quiet, and we sometimes confuse killers for brothers.
If you see well towards the end the girl's poses get more sentimental, (watch closely at some of her poses. makes sense!) and throughout the video, judging by her facial expression, she seems very sad.

This song is about, well as far as my interpretation of it goes, the war in Vietnam when US soldiers were given orders to destroy the entire Vietnamese villages by killing everyone, including women and children. The song goes " They will burn down your house they will burn down your house" Which the soldiers in fact did, burned down everything. Sadly, the villages were innocent and full of people who had no involvement in the war whatsoever. |
