This should be the national speech of every free nation. People want freedom, dont we?
So why is it so hard to get?..
Make this speech the rule for freedom!

it's not difficult at all. if you want to stop wars, stop fighting them. old men's wars will always be pressed upon the youth. and it's the soldiers' faults for not thinking about it, and realizing what they are doing to the world.

I don't think you read Sophomosaurus his comment correctly. Judging by the thumbs down a lot of people did not read it. It's an inspiring speach but in the end Charlie's character asks again to fight: "fight for freedom". What Sphosaurus said is that nearly every war is fought in the name of freedom or other virtues. Even the nazi's fought for something they thought was right (The Americans are at this moment fighting "for freedom" in Irak :s ) That was what he meant in a nutshell.

This is the real one, if you think you've already seen all the Charlie Chaplin movies, search for: "CHARLIE CHAPLIN AND THE UMBRELLA" The newest Charlie Chaplin, just for you...

After all that, obviously the fighting is not to be done with arms, with brute force... were you even listening? To fight against fighting.
and I don't mean war to prevent war... this is more difficult than I thought. |
