Slash and james are both great.Slash does his thing and so does James,but as far as slash being a better guitarist i disagree.If you look up old vids of metallica playing whiplash with slash and company you would see that James is way better at that style.But im not saying that James is better than slash either.

No they're not just about the skill. Lines in the Sand has solo never heard before, the solo from Goodnight Kiss is also not technical but balladic and slow. Petrucci and Vai are superior, you just cant handle that.

The same thing again... just technique. They are like a guitar lesson, those pieces are great to increase your skills, agree. But that's it. C'mon, you are obviously a guitarist, aren't you? That's the reason why you like something like "For The Love Of God". I'm also a guitarist, and I used to love that music too, until I realized that I was just admiring those guy's skills, not their music. And maybe you'll realize that too. Just ask the big crowd, they have the answer.
