Well think about what they did with Super Smash Brothers; before that, no one would think about Princess Peach or Kirby being a decent fighter. The game hyped up everybody (think about what HAL can do with the Dexter, Powerpuff Girls, Samurai Jack, etc.) You know Cartoon Network has the license to Looney Toons so they can add them too, you can't just have one product against a whole company. Tatsunoko sounds good, but it's all about popularity over here, it's not as well known as Marvel.

think more of companys that look good fighting each other like marvel vs tatsunoko.something that the mix of characters would look descent.but what fighting characters do cartoon have.....
now if you said something like looney toons vs disney that sounds a little bit better

I thought about Nintendo vs Square enix, not very fair or even wise. All people will want to play is the Legend of Zelda part of the game since that has the best similarity to Square Enix's stuff, unfair. They would need to hype up Nintendo exponentially before comparing it to Square Enix. Last time I checked, Square Enix already had a legendary company to cross-over with, they both emphasize love and fantasy in their stories. CN and Nintendo emphasize on cartoony-ness, thus a good match...
