pretty sure DD didnt write misirlou. I heard it back in the early sixties by the beach boys and then a lebanese friend of mine drug out a 78 dated in the 20's with this song on it.Cut in Beirut. Misirlou done on mid-eastern instruents, tempo, cymbals, droning drums the whole works. too cool for words. Love em all.

I don't think Dick Dale really realized how big of a masterpiece he made at the time he was writing this. What an absolutely amazing song!

actually, Dick Dale said at one of the NAMM shows he played (2007 I think), that his Machine Gun Staccato was primarily influenced by the fact that he was a drummer before taking up on the guitar, so that is why he plays in patterns of 16 notes everytime he uses his staccato... Actually you can find this videos at the Fender website, in the artist section.

Please refrain from using them... there are white people that CAN dance, as well as anybody else... now, they don't look like nerds, what is a nerd anyway? they are just wearing the available fashionable clothes of their times... the other option was to look like James Dean in Rebel without a cause, and that, my friend is not fashionable anymore either in or times...
