Those saying Donnie MADE Runrig are sadly mistaken. He was an important part of the band, but the heart and soul of Runrig are the MacDonalds in the songwriting and Malcolm in the musical side. Just look at Runrig's present success and look at Donnie's solo career.
With Donnie the band was getting musically stale. With Bruce they're improved A LOT in that department and the band seems to be a lot more confident and relaxed when playing live. Runrig's changed without Donnie, but for the better.

i've grown up listening to runrig and love the music. but even i have to say that there is no comparison to Donnie. The new guy is from nova scotia and should have stayed there, the band isn't as good, much to my dismay :(

I like both singers but prefer Donnie a bit more-still the "new" one is good

Runrig used to play about a mile from my old house in Macduff, Scotland. They used to play at a little place called Tarlair which used to be an outdoor swimming pool. I love Runrig, and thats quite something to hear from a Hard House DJ!! |
