This band keeps on rocking even 20 plus years later! I first heard of them when I was in high school and heard "Do You Believe In Love?". I've got a Pee-Chee with my favorite songs of 1979/1980 written all over it and that is one of the songs. It's timeless like all of Huey's songs. Thanks for posting this!

everytime he has been to Scotland I have been to see him, he is gorgeous, if he was a chocolate cake I would drop my face on and inhale him!!!
He played Saint Louis recently and I have been there man I was trying my hardest to get over there....muah huey xx

Well, I tried to comment but got side tracked by the website. So, starting over, this band makes me want to comment positively twenty years after the fact. And I will. Huey and the News transcends time and generations and I will stick by him forever, at this website.

Their early work was a little too new wave for my tastes, but when Sports came out in '83, I think they really came into their own, commercial and artistically. The whole album has a clear, crisp sound, and a new sheen of consummate professionalism that really gives the songs a big boost. He's been compared to Elvis Costello, but I think Huey has a far much more bitter, cynical sense of humour.

It's no wonder You Tube included this topnotch Huey Lewis version of "Jacob's Ladder" as a typical song of this amazing, well-balanced band, Huey Lewis and the News. I've been listening hard since 1984, and for my money they are the best American band of their time.
