the heavy metal of the fifties? not really. the fifties version of heavy metal would be, like, the blues or bo diddley. raw electric guitar based stuff. what scott was doing was just another variation on "modern jazz" or "progressive jazz."

I remember that classical composer, John Williams', dad was the original Scott drummer. Boy he was great. I don't think that's him here though (at least this doesn't look like hime to me).

This is like heavy metal for the 1950's,
the middle part was like the breakdown....I remember it being used for factory parts in cartoons. Oh youth! |
