The overwhelming majority of Brit-pop/Alt. music fans would disagree with you goojman--not even close.

Man, the drummer looks like he's hanging on for dear life. It's not that difficult a song to play is it? Or is Stephen Morris a genius drummer?

Radiohead is the only band that can do justice for a song such as this. New Order for life

It's actually Johnny Greenwood that makes this cover great. He goes balls out. My God, he is tremendous.

New Order is much better than Radiohead mates. Not even close.

and who do you think you are? Were you best mates with Ian sticking up for his legacy? I'm sure he would be proud of your narrow minded approach to a bunch of guys tributing a group they idolised and were influenced by. Radiohead are possibly the biggest band of this generation and to have a song of yours covered by them I'm sure would only ever be flattering. If you sit at home in your bedroom, singing along, are you not doing the same thing, just because you aren't publicising it..

Where have you been?
"That guys voice?"
He just happens to be Thom Yorke, he's a bit famous,he and the band he's in brought out a few low key albums like The Bends, Kid A, Hail To The Thief. Oh yeah, and there was that one that was pretty shunned by critics, didn't do well at all, I think its name was OK Computer.
I don't knoww.

Surprisingly good cover, I was prepared to hate it. I worship Joy Division and New Order and this is one of my favorite songs ever. I also love Radiohead but I was afraid Thom would mumble through the song and ruin it. I was really impressed with his voice at the beginning of the song, eerily similar to Ian Curtis, he did a good job. At the chorus the whinyness of his voice peaks through, but still, a great cover. Love it. |
