I think the battle of Midway was decided when Spruance decided to launch his strike sortie at 0700 hrs. Given the circumstance, there was no way the IJN could defend themselves.

Germany didnt have resources to complete such an research intensive program at that era, taking into consideration of its pre WW2 economic state. Furthermore due to the Nazis ideology constraint, germany didnt have the human resources either. Project Manhattan took the combined efforts of the BEST scientists from an array of different nationalities and backgrounds to achieve.

The US won the war, period. Everyone else was shite. The secret weapon? Lucky Strike means fine tobacco.

Germany never would have had "The Nuke." After the war, British intelligence found out that the brains of the German effort, Mr. Heisenberg, had no idea of how a bomb might be constructed. His musings on the topic were so far off as to lead his captors to wonder whether he had deliberately gone in the wrong direction to foil Hitler. Their greatest achievement in nuclear engineering was constructing a nuclear reactor. The British were further along in their efforts than Germany.

The Soviets killed most Germans, but at a very high cost. Four Soviet soldiers died for every German soldier killed. It was a victory, but a Pyrrhic victory which made Stalin the official "hero" at the expense of 10 million Soviet Soldiers' lives. Stalin won, but the Soviet people paid the biggest price of the war.

As much i would like to agree with you, the German, commanders and the airm force commanders over estimeated the Russian resolve in defending their home lands, the two front war only worsen the situation and if the people of the Soveit Union didn't hold in stalingrad the normandy invasion would be have a bloody disaster
