Just ignore the general public and the way they think they know everything about coasters...Let 'em dream of not reading signs, and asking if a ride goes upside down when looking at it. :]

Um, I didn't google it. I know my roller coaster facts, I am a true roller coaster enthusiast.
Also, of course Colossus is your favorite wooden coaster-just as the Voyage (despite being the number one in the world) isn't my personal favorite.

Well, Valencia is not a major city, L A is... you would refer to it as LA, rather than Valencia, but sure, you are right.

It's not in Los Angeles. It is in Valencia, which is about 40 miles from LA.

goose1977: Also, the Son of Beast (which I know you are confusing the Beast with) is NOT taller than this. This is 235 feet tall, has a 255 foot drop and reaches 85 mph. Son Of Beast, despite being the tallest and fastest wooden roller coaster in the world, is only 218 feet tall, has a 214 foot drop, and reaches 78.4 mph. And you try to say that you know your facts. All of us roller coaster enthusiasts look down on you people.

bradp828: Actually, there is a company in the amusement park industry that ranks roller coasters-called the Golden Ticket Awards (the company is called Amusement Today). For 2 years in a row, the number 1 wooden roller coaster in the world has been the Voyage at Holiday World in Santa Claus, Indiana. Colossus at Six Flags Magic Mountain isn't even as good as the Voyage. The Voyage also holds a record for the most airtime ever on a roller coaster-24.2 seconds of weightlessness.

goose1977: The Beast at Kings Island isn't even one of the tallest wooden roller coasters in the world. It is only 110 feet tall and has a 141 foot drop. You may be confusing the Beast with Son of Beast, also at Kings Island. Son Of Beast is actually currently the tallest and fastest wooden roller coaster in the world-218 feet tall, 214 foot drop, 78.4 mph. The second tallest wooden roller coaster in the world is Colossos at Heide-Park Soltau in Germany. It is 196 feet, 10 inches tall. |
