My friend, you realized you made mistakes, and maybe you cant get her back, but by having seen the error of your ways that may allow you to move on and have life of your own with someone you will treat better.

Can't say that it would have been better for God to have done anything differently. He knows all.
And yes, Eve messed up, but so did Adam. We all have sin, both men and women, so we are both equally sinful.
And besides in your "Adam and Steve" thing the human race would never have made it farther than that.
