I don't think acid was the source of this music. Carlos was into meditation and seriously into John Coltrane-who was straight as an arrow (I know he was tripping during this).People have a distorted view of the sixties. I agree that there is a lot of self-conscious pretentious garbage out there now. People have to stop seeing themselves as stars and start to feel a more natural groove that isn't rooted in machines and stupid irony.
