Who knows if Hayward is going to make it back? I'm not saying give him 6 mil, I'm saying maybe 4 per/2yr with incentives. What is wrong with that?

Money!

Jaguars are going to go undefeated and win the superbowl. Book it.

Rosenhaus isn't that bad. He obviously does a good job getting what's best for his clients, which is why he's so popular. You want to talk about scum, look no further than Tank Black. He stole millions of dollars from his clients. One of them was Fred Taylor, who lost all of his rookie signing bonus before it was recovered in an offshore bank account by none other than Drew Rosenhaus' firm. I'm sure Fred Taylor has a much different opinion on Drew.

Drew Rosenhaus is such scum. Seriously, every time I find out he is the agent of one of my favorite players I die just a little bit on the inside.

Paul Spicer Great Locker Room Guy. But does he scare Peyton Manning or Tom Brady? Jags need a pass rusher. They spent all of the Draft to fix it. Where was pass rush in the New England Game. Enough Said. Jags are moving in a new direction.

When Hayward signed that contract, however, he was younger, and had much more upside.

Spicer is about to turn 33 and not too many players that age would get a new deal in today's NFL. Spicer doesn't have any leverage right now and he's basically playing for his next contract for his new team. By the way, you cannot hate Drew Rosenhaus. The guy is great at what he does, and he has the track record to prove it.

Okay now I'm probably the biggest Jaguars fan outside the great state of Florida, but I kind of understand both side of this equation to a degree. As many of us Jaguar fans already know, Paul Spicer is currently our best DE until one of our top-2 draft picks or someone else steps up. Yes I do believe that Spicer deserves a new deal, but as Vic Ketchman would say: "it's a young man's game". |
