Although the story is set largely in Turkey, the movie was almost entirely filmed in Malta, after permission to film in İstanbul was denied. Background shots of Istanbul were shot by a small crew pretending to shoot footage for a cigarette commercial. Some of the movie was also filmed in Libya.

The movie was excelent and and with the chase song rolling along and for being thirty years old and to this very day it still sounds years ahead of our time, very futuristic, now this is a song that doesn't wear out, cool tune!

His name is "Brad Davis" and he committet suicide by an overdose of drugs, because of his AIDS Desease. Very sad !!!
