Great concept, but perhaps better suited for "Every Day is exactly the Same". Could'a tied in the whole corporate life thing.
The song, in my opinion, is a "solipsism song", i.e. it's about retreating into yourself to protect yourself from hurt. Denial of the hurt and self defensive obsession with self. IMHO.
