tone is atrocious, and he's a bit sloppy. Has some original phrasing ideas, and techniques....I couldnt do any better. Just seems like its more just a track to showcase his abilities instead of a well constructed song.

Yes but can he play an actual TUNE. ? You know a MELODY. This sounds too much like a typewriter.Ever tried to have a conversation with someone who speaks too quickly ? Technique is not everything you need a good tune, tone and play at a speed that the human ear can discriminate. Above all else you must entertain !!
