Racial relations have improved in the US but that does not mean that racism has been annihilated. Those who say that it's a thing of the past are usually the ones who are the beneficiaries of it, including those who have a good heart and the best intentions. I, myself being black, had two white supervisors at the same job treat me like garbage in comparison to other co-workers. I refused to put up with it, even if it meant getting fired as such was the outcome. A lot of people are blind.

Open your eyes wider. I see it on TV everyday, by news casts; I see it on the streets; I see it in classrooms. You gotta be fucked up to think racism is finished. Know this: I'm white and I live in a rich, predominantly white, suburban neighborhood where I see this shit everyday happening to minorities of all colours and backgrounds daily!
