Dark Wave is an umbrella term used for the "gothic" rock of the 80's (which was band such as Bauhaus, Siouxsie & the Banshees, The Sisters Of Mercy)... and the 90's version of the new wave/post-punk movements.
If you want to get TECHNICAL it's all Dark Wave. Goth really didn't make it out of the 80's alive and in either case it was a part of Dark Wave (Goth wan't even used globally originally, it was UK's version of France's Cold Wave and Germany's Electrowave)
So there, rocking song anyway!
