I am encouraging/promoting the concept of free choice driven by Intellect as opposed to selfish GREED.
Give a man a net, he can feed his family, give him 100 nets - he fishes the river dry so others cannot eat, then sells fish that God provided for free to the starving.
Good health + safety YES YES YES... Freedom YES, but to the level of Paris Hilton - NO.
She had better enjoy her wealth and freedom, because if there is a God - she isnt going to meet him.

valid points, but it comes down to a fact of nature you cannot suppress the will of a person, we have a right to freedom, the right to control our lives an to that point if i want to do some thing, im bloody well gonna do it. if you two have such a problem, an believe things need to be dfferent, switch your pc off so other people can have the power it was using. We are a democracy where we have freedom of choice, not a society where we are controlled like worker bee's of a bee hive

Globalisation will make you realise, you only ruled Earth for a short while, because you couldn't be reached, those days are over and the rest of the world is clued up to your incessant greed.

Why stop there MegaBrits? Outlaw houses bigger than 500 sq. feet cuz people don't 'need' more room than that. Make heaters only heat up to 15C / 60F cuz people don't 'need' to be warmer than that. Air Conditioners - make them cool to only 30C / 85F cuz people don't 'need' to be cooler. Outlaw diets with more than 2000 calories per day - people don't 'need' to eat more. Make it illegal to smoke or drink alcohol - people don't need that either and it wastes resources. U R a raving socialist.

The key 2 the world is simple = Only use or take what U need + make sure what U need is the LEAST to allow you to avoid injury or illness - period
6-7 litre cars when 800cc ones keep you as dry + avoid walking, A small steak as opposed to a slab of meat so that somone else can experience fresh meat each day.
Outlaw Vanity = products 2 support images which change weekly so cannot be a yardstick of beauty + which alienate the disfigured. Cosmetics kill animals + waste reources - for what?

Ah Yes, but we Brits didnt have a long and concise history book to get advice from.
Look at Britain now, we have LEARNED while America and other nations haven't, even though they enjoy the luxury of hindsight through our history.
The first man who opened a letter bomb = BANG, the second guy thoughu "Now hang on - If I open this" and so on.
See how people are supposed to Learn stuff? Do you watch your feet when mowing your lawn = Experience from others mistakes - Its 2008 you know?

In a capitalist economy, when growth stops the people become poor. This is called a Recession or Depression. So capitalism requires INFINITE PERPETUAL GROWTH or it will break down.
The world is not infinite. You cannot grow forever in an finite space. The only way capitalists make up for this is by helping population grow forever so they can sell more and more.
Our resources run out trying to support all these people who cannot be forever supported. Capitalism is a suicide pact.
