If anyone is interested Fritz Wunderlich sings Granada too,in German of course, and it just happens to be fantastic. One of the most overwhelming versions I've ever heard.

Yes! As much as I love Pavarotti, his version of Granada, I believe, lacks the intensity and fire of the Spanish interpretation. Mario Lanza has the best overall version I have heard. And yes, I grew up loving Mario Lanza. But he, I feel, lacks the uncomparable genius and soul of Pavarotti in so many arias.
