i got a mail where it quotes the statement that you think i am an idiot, ok, everyone has a right to have an opinion.. but may i ask why you think so? just as you know, i love van damme and his movies, im a big fan. he is one of the reasons that i started training martial arts in the first place. i just stated that it would be cool if he made another martial arts film that could really depict his skills, cause he is still in great shape despite his age. thats what i meant.

JCVD is more a drama movie than comedy (but there is some funny scenes). By the way, it seems the movie will be release in USA 7th november (limited screens).

wish he could make a film that really can depict his skills again.. a film whit allot of fighting.. a real homage to the artist that is van damme.. no bad saying about this movie though, its probably fun and nice and all that, but i really want to see a movie with him that he can show off that he really still can kick some ass x-D like with a good story line, and amazing fights like the ones we all love and remember from such films as bloodsport, kick boxer etc. go van damme!! u can do it!

It would be awesome if Hollywood cast him as a powerful villain in an adult action/thriller type film that is actually great with a strong cast, writers, director, and cinematographer. The guy plays very intimidating villains, though he only played the badguy in two or three films I think total. VD has alot of potential with the right production. He should play a character in a adult comedy too, not the main one but a kickass, funny side one. Diversify roles like Christopher Walken does!

I'd much rather see him in a film like this than anything I've seen from him the past 6-8 years.
Quality films will bring back up his reputation!! Gotta keep up with the times. Hard Corps was another one of those boring, annoyingly bad blah's that should have not been made. But this looks completely different in a good way!

Oh please let this film be refreshingly good, funny. People are so tired of his straight-to-DVD stuff. He can be very funny. Anyway I wasn't expecting this approach to filmmaking with VD. Hopefully it gets a limited North American release. I'd like to see JCVD (as an actor) completely bring back up his image and impression. And continue to do things totally passionate, inventive, fun, and entertaining. I'
