Oh wow it does! Coolio! Great music either way. I don't care what it was written for; sounds just delightful on cello.

haha, it might sound a bit strange if it was called "Bach Viola Pomposa Suite" =P .......actually that has a good ring to it haha!
Lif3lesss (August 18, 2008 at 6:57 pm)
It was called the Viola Pomposa. Bach created it himself. So really there are only FIVE Bach cello suites xD
moman1208 (August 12, 2008 at 10:50 pm)
madd hardd. you know that this piece was written for a 5 string cello
mcnaire2004 (August 12, 2008 at 1:54 am)
My teacher says it is a curse that us string players don't need to take a breath. Because you need to "breath" in music. He tells me to watch wind players sometimes, and vocalist.

I played the alto sax. version of gigue for a solo. it was tricky because it was wrote for a instrument you didn't have to breath into, but real good playing!

Hmmm, it seems to be that people with such apparent natural talent in a specific thing, such as music, usually make up for it with a lack or limit to some other attribute. I've seen interview videos of him and videos inwhich he speaks and it doesn't seem like he has had to pay for his musical ability with his personality.
