I'd like to see them go to Plus cylinders on the Abus 83/45 locks we have at work, but they like to stick to Yale cylinders in them because the keys are more readily available.

I have made the ABUS Plus tools (top tensioning) with only a lathe and I'm selling these tools for 100 EUR each. They come with a case, a pen, an allen wrench and some decoding tables and the tool can decode the lock once opened.
Takes 2-3 minutes to open a lock and an additonal minute to decode it. It took me 10 minutes to start mastering the picking process and you have to pick the lock in certain order to open it fast.
Interested?

It's quite neat to see you lock pick something live, it could give me further insight if ever I need a lock of sorts if the lock you use is the one I eventually chose to use. The sites seem to say that the longer it takes to pick a lock, the safer it is. True?
Right now I just bought an ABUS Granit-Plus lock, having a security level of 10. I'm wondering if it's really worth the 100 CAN$ to get it. Let's say I was tired of cheap locks and seeing most of my friends getting their bikes stolen.

I have 6 Abus 37/80 locks securing machines in a workshop. The man who supplied the chains and the locks is a smith and he says he has seen them picked by a colleague.
All security can do is slow down attacks by thieves, if they want what you have they will find a way to take it. Time is the key.
Your picking skills look extremely adept to a layman like myself, top marks.

wow - just wow. That was really cool, and I like your tool inovation. :-) My hands cramp up when I am holding a heavier lock, but I figure it will get better as I get more practice.
