Well said. Evolution is as much a theory as gravity. And until Christians can fly through the air like an airplane, I'm going to lean towards it being proven.

It was pretty much exactly this that chased me from the faith.
I went to Catholic school, and as such was taught to read the Bible "contextually," which basically means "ignore the stuff that doesn't make any sense."
It was a genuine shock to my religious moderate system when I got out into the real world and found people who ACTUALLY believed a six hundred year old man once built a wooden boat the size of an aircraft carrier.

I think what Sam meant to say was that Reincarnation is in the same boat as God and the Flying Spaghetti Monster: There is currently no evidence, but if someone can produce some, he'll gladly take a look.

It is proposterous that there are people who still don't believe in evolution. It is a theory, which in science means it as close to proven as possible. We has seen evolution take place and we have overwhelming evidence to support it. How does the notion of some omniscient being with a lack of evidence supporting that he even wrote the bible (how do we know it wasn't some random dude?)make more sense? How is the idea of there being a God any different from ancient greek mythology?

cougarsrule45, (yes, cats rule =D) The Idea of the world ending in 50 years is a picking point of atheists. They find a few people who sternly believe this, and portray it as mainsteam Christianity. Every Good Christian know full well that the Bible says no body knows judgement day.
