i knw the games are boring with only 1 type of players. im wondering the same about nadal

In contrast, I believe all those players who rely so much on their powerful serves and forehands, are actually cutting the peak of their career short. I'm not wondering how Nadal reached the peak anymore, but how long he's gonna keep up with that pace. He's 22 but will he be the same in 8 years? And nearly all current players are offensive baseliners.

You know, i've been thinking that could be one reason why his career has been so long. At his 35 years and having played for 20 years playing in the ATP Tour, he's managed to stay in the top 100 (he's the oldest in that list by the way) and even win one more ATP tournament in July this year. His speed and reflexes are very good for his age too, so my bet is he has saved a lot of power to be able to endure all that time. So he's still there, showing his talent and tricks.

Sometimes you deserve to win, sometimes you don't. Santoro didn't deserve to lose here.
