that's not strictly true that it all goes into your lungs, as the airway into your lungs is coated with cilia which create this stuff called mucus, chances are a lot of that tar will get stuck to that mucus and you swallow it, or cough it back up, but you will end up with quiet a lot going into your lungs still. Plus there is no way in telling if this person inhaled the same amount.

Yeah - isn't it disgusting? The human race truly is fucked up. People, especially the supposed smart ones who make these decisions for our society should really be embarassed - really downright embarassed but unfortunately since it's all about the dollar - all morals go out the window. The human race is already seeing it's own karma from the things it does - it won't be long before there is a downpour of all the cumulative karma and I can't wait until those decision makers see those fruits.

Caffeine - I don't think it's deadly. Alcohol on the other hand is in many many ways. I don't think banning is the way to go but what the public needs is "education" and they should step up the ads telling people the dangers of shit food and alcohol etc but at the same time tell the truth and NOT overhype the facts like they do with smoking campaigns. At the end of the day - processed food kills more people than smoking - if only people would see that.

I still love that I can get my wife pregnant then go get it vacuumed out at a clinic (not saying I am pro life or pro choice). Yet I could not smoke outside this facility. Just pointing out the double standard.

So you won't mind that they ban caffeine or Alcohol then either? Like I said before once this starts it sets a precedence to go forward with in fact people suing fast food industries are using the smoking suits as just this. It will only be a matter of time before they move on to soda caffeine and alcohol, as they all are detrimental to your health and have addicting qualities. Then where they go after that who knows but the one thing you can be certain of is it will never end.

I frankly don't mind if they ban fast food and processed food since I think this is mankind's biggest killer. Probably not so much ban it but hope that the companies who make billions from it will eventually start making healthier food.

When they have done all they can to cigarettes something else will be next and they will use the victories gained against cigarettes to get something you enjoy banned next, maybe caffeine, fast food, or alcohol.

Diabetes is in a neck and neck chase with the number of deaths per year with smoking world wide and most of these can be looked back into and seen probably as fast food restaurants and caffeine.
So the next time you support a law that bans smoking somewhere understand this, an activists job is never done. |
