Thanks a lot. It's not a "real" song, just a jam over some chords. If i remember correctly, I just used the Dorian mode and Melodic Minor scales.

I agree, it seems easier to hammer than pull. I think Allan Holdsworth actually hammers notes that are usually articulated with a pull off. Say you're pulling off from the 7th to the 5th fret. Instead of keeping a finger planted on the 5th fret and pulling off from the 7th fret, he'll actually hammer the 5th fret after playing the 7th fret note.

how do you pulloff so many notes so fast? for me hammering on is easy but pulling off doesnt really work...i can barely pull off twice in a row?!! (i can do it slowly but not fast at all)
