please dont compare hendrix to van halen and vai. Van Halen and Vai are technical guitarists, thats cool but i don't think that technical musicians make any progress, so yes this is far better. As for Hendrix, he cannot in anyway be described as metal. Hendrix is emotion in its purest form, listen to 'bold as love' or 'are you experienced' and you will see what i mean. Beethoven would not be light years ahead of hendrix, and in fact we have no idea what beethoven would be like when he improvised

I love this piece. It's one of my all time favorite classical pieces! This piece is completely different than any of his pieces prior to this one. The sound is overall different. It is so great!
