OMG! One of the best versions I've heard. So together, so well played, so BEAUTIFUL! The tempos are perfect! Aww! Why can't all bands play this music correctly.
My marching will be peforming Phantom, but the arrangement is terrible. I don't think we'll do well. The melodies and solos are given to all the wrong instruments. There are nothing but trumpet solos; the rest of the band might as well not be there. Phantom is not trumpet loaded. Come on! F horns and the lows are featured throughout!

Well, there's nothing wrong with sousphones in a concert band. Just usually they're only used in marching, but sousaphones can be used in concert bands. And anyways, they're from JAPAN and this is in the USA, and they came for the Rose PARADE (marching), so they had to get sousaphones/contras (would you rather have them play contras?) and they can't use so much money as to get both the sousas/contras AND enough concert horns.

1) lack of tubas
2) they came to march in a parade, thus explaining sousaphone
3) you think that even matters? this band kicks way more ass than yours
