lukesummer, I worked in Dundalk in the late-90s and when my employer attempted to invite a government minister to launch a major new project, a civil servant in his department thanked my boss but stated that the minister did not "do functions in Northern Ireland".
I thought it was both hilarious and scandalous.

Great views! Lucky me I just went there in May and the colors of everything from the sky to the cows just take your breath away. I also gained 10 pounds in a month and still trying to lose cause the food was the BEST.

Yes, thanks. Finally got the yard cleaned up yesterday except we still have down about a third of one of our century oaks in the back yard. It will take tree surgeons to get it out. Now, we have Gustav possibly this Sunday to look forward to...it's even bigger. Yes, Irish folks, it rains in Florida, too....by the bucket.
