I feel for you brother. My dad has dementia and my mother is ailing too. Both are 83. This song just puts everything into perspective. Hang in there.

Less than stellar guitar solo- yet instantly recognizable in its simplicity and tone.

This song really rings true to me. Although my mom past away two months ago, my dad who is 94, has a very difficilt time accepting the reality of the situation, particularly since he suffers from non-Alzheimer`s dementia and does not always recall that she is gone. But listening to this very sad song, makes me believe that things will get better.

Whenever I've hit low points throughout my life this is the tune going around the back of my mind.Strangely, it has the quality to make things feel a little bit better, possibly beacause life is still better than the run of misfortune old Gilbert has in the song. Great tune all the same.
