that's what stupid mans don't understand - hip hop has roots. And like Rakim said, when you listen to enough hip hop, you'll start to understand what's "pop hip hop", "good hip hop", "wack hip hop", "sellout hip hop". All those cats: Aesop, all the stuff from Def Jux I've heard, Buck65, Sage Francis... wack mothafuckas to the 13th power. Those cats are killing hip hop in their own way, trying to associate with rap but don't want nothing to do with the roots of the culture. aint that a bitch?

Word...Aesop Rock is too out of the box with his shit...IMO he shouldn't even be considered hip-hop, cause no facet of his shit sticks true to the roots of hip-hop ...and word to that Fat Joe joint...I love that track.

yeah. I'm trying to keep it real with these lames. All these so-called hip hop fans who love that wack Aesop shit are just lames. In fact, I'd rather listen to Soulja Boy than Aesop any day because at least Soulja is on beat and his beats, though kinda wack, are not as soulless and wack as Aesop and alot of these underground garbage without-rhythm rappers.
