I wouldn't neccessarily call this song a country song. Its more of a Folk song. But there is a lot of good Country/Folk music out there. I am a huge Punk fan, but through me some John Denver, Peter Paul and Mary or Kingston Trio and see me smile. Check some of them out. You might be surprised, you might like more of it! Cheers to you!

This song reminds me of being a kid, on a Sunday night hanging out at home with my mom. She'd get out her guitar and play all night. We made a tape of us singing this song, Silver Threads and Golden Needles, and a few others. When my aunt and cousin would come visit we all got in on it. We didn't sound half bad if I do say so myself. Need to see if I can dig up those cassettes. Thanks for posting. Good memories. Great song!

when i was very very little, we used to have my mom's old record player and the only records i owned was john denver's and the pete's dragon soundtrack. this song brings me back to when i was that age (i couldn't have been older than five). it's very bittersweet.
