i've had 2 root canals and they didn't hurt :) sad thing i have to go back for more root canals :( but don't be scared..i personally prefer the pain of a root canal being done then a really painful toothache

I just got the first part done today. I have to go back tomorro to get the rest done but i can say that the as far as i got done it didnt hurt EXCEPT the needle that had to go in the roof of my mouth haha i jumped so bad i almost hit the dentist :)

theres this myth that when you get a root canal its a very painful procedure but peoples pain threshold differs alot,i got 2 done and didnt feel any pain atall just a little discomfort it took me 10 years to go back to a dentist after a bad experience with a different dentist and im delighted i got it done

mine was actually pretty painless..... if your dentist pays attnetion to details and does it right it should barely hurt...

thanx for responding quickly Dr. tho i mainly meant a root canal procedure on molar(#31) which has opposite biting teeth.a crown should be placed on as final part of root canal? should not be left as post+resin filling correct?
