Also, the"War on Drugs" ism ore or less a myth - it's a welfare program for crime cartels.
What ALL chemical prohibition typically does is exacerbate a country's drug problems by taking a regulated industry and turning it into a black market run by international crime organizations.
So the only arguments for prohibition (just like the 20's) are emotionally-based. And honestly, emotional legislation belongs dead and gone in the 19th century.

lol. The "liberals vs. conservatives" dynamic is dead. It doesn't exist. Let it lie. The only reason anybody cares anymore is because we like pretending to have something to argue about.
Problems with the US justice system:
1) It is largely class-based. If you're poor and charged with a crime, you're much more likely to be fucked.
2) It makes crimes of victimless acts, which in turns overpopulates prisons and fucks up the economy.
3) Prison system is privatized... LOLOL @ the very idea. |
