FOOD NEWS: A Conversation with "King Corn" Filmmaker

Part 1: A conversation with filmmaker Curt Ellis about his new documentary "King Corn", the film that may open eyes across America. Surprisingly, corn is present in some form or another, in almost everything on the American plate. And, none more so, than through the food ingredient "high fructose corn syrup" (HFCS). Is it a good idea to have "HFCS" present in so many of our foods without prior public debate, or adequate science to measure its impact on the long-term health of adults, and especially our children? Should our standard meals be unnaturally skewed toward a corn based diet, in the first place? This interview, along with video clips from the documentary, may not provide the answers here, but it's a good beginning for further thought and reflection. What do you think?

I got about 26 messages like this: "CORN IS A-MAIZE-ING! CORN IS A-MAIZE-ING! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! I could fucking do this all fucking night!!! Yeah!" Which is why it's fucking hilarious. Sanity is lessening, and it's getting more and more fun.
MMGiru (July 18, 2008 at 11:30 pm)
What? No story? That's pretty friggin boring. Oh well. I'm glad that you care so much about this that you're still continuing it after two weeks. Frankly, I find that people are much funnier when they're pissed because they can't accept new ideas.

People don't have to follow YOUR lifestyle, nor do they have to agree or believe your opinion, so get over it. Do you really think I will believe your pathetic comments, because I won't. P.S. Going off topic on that corn video just proves your ignorance." Wow, notice that your the only one who cares. Don't you think it's an odd coincidence that I said I'm just trying to get a laugh out of your reaction?
MMGiru (July 17, 2008 at 7:30 pm)
Ooh, a message: "When did it become mandatory that I had to believe YOUR pathetic comments? Oh, that's right, NEVER. It's not my problem your so misinformed and ignorant. Take your anti-corn comments somewhere else. Farmers don't give a shit what YOU think, and neither do I. If you want to be anti-corn, I don't fucking care. But enough with pushing it on me and others. [cont.]

"Hah, your pathetic." "At first I thught your arguments were worthy, no wait, your arguments were never worthy, they were pathetic." "Now your just being and asshole to make yourself feel better." "That was you." "Each time you get deeper in the hole." Yay! I can use your comments to make a story. And that's only what you just wrote. Imagine a week of that, and you should have a pretty good idea of the comedy I get by keeping this up. Feel free to make one of mine. It better be good though

At first I thught your arguments were worthy, no wait, your arguments were never worthy, they were pathetic. "Now, you've gotten boring, and I feel like playing audiosurf." Yes, go take your ignorant self and play audiosurf.
MEC316 (July 17, 2008 at 12:44 am)
Keep being ignorant, MMGiru. Each time you get deeper in the hole.
