It is a great song and I have no idea what I would think if this was the only version I had heard. But, for me, the reason it is such a great song is because of the natural passion, soul, enrgy, fragility of Otis Redding. If you love this song for the pure emotion of the original I cannot understand how you could appreciate this cover.
Both versions make me cry but for different reasons.
