Yes, that's correct ... Microtones can be very weird for western ears ... but, they hold the infinite colors of the universe!
In western religion we are taught to fear a lot of things ... but in the eastern philosophies, the focus is mainly on experiencing divine intention on this physical plane of existence ... Microtones help in connecting with the divine source.

It sounds like they are using microtones, like far-eastern music. sounds kind of like whale sounds. Not something we're used to in western music. I think it's beautiful though.
